Oscar Pistorius: Infamously nicknamed “the Fastest Man on No Legs”, Oscar Pistorius is a record-setting South African sprinter who had both legs amputated but has learned to live and excel despite his handicap. Today, he competes as a runner wielding a pair of prosthetic leg replacements.
Rick Hoyt: Just before he was born, a complication leading to extended oxygen deprivation caused Rick Hoyt to become a quadriplegic with cerebral palsy. Today, he and his father compete together and father pushes his wheelchair in athletic events around the country.
Kevin Bailey: After a tragic accident left him paralyzed from the chest down, Keven Bailey didn’t let that stop him from pursuing his passion for sports. He started playing wheelchair basketball and eventually started his own team, The Triangle Thunder.
