As 2011 rolls around, we’re excited to tell you all about the most recent addition to our line of handicap vans: the 2011 Toyota Sienna.
This sleek new model combines innovative design and wheelchair capability without sacrificing any of the style of a new vehicle. Additionally, the 2011 Toyota Sienna has been listed as a top safety vehicle by the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety.
As with all of our wheelchair accessible vans, the 2011 Toyota Sienna features a lightweight aluminum fold-out ramp with a non-skid, powder-coated finish allowing convenient side entry for those in wheelchairs. From a key-chain remote, the van’s ramp can be automatically extended and the van’s rear suspension can be lowered to maximize ease and speed of access.
This innovative feature provides a gentle and easily manageable ramp slope, and the low interior floor simplifies maneuvering a wheelchair inside the vehicle. The floortrack and belt system enables seating of the wheelchair in a wide variety of positions in the front or back of the van.
The updated model is more spacious than previous models, using bigger doorways and a larger rear cargo area. To increase storage space even more, the vehicle’s rear seats have the ability to fold forward when needed, and a retractable footrest designed for the comfort of passengers in wheelchairs also comes standard.
