A Brief History of Van Products

More than fifty years ago, William Wendt, Sr. founded Van Products' parent organization, Orthopedic Service Company, in Raleigh, North Carolina. In 1974, Van Products, Inc. was formed. The company’s purpose? To meet the specialized transportation and growing mobility requirements of physically challenged individuals.  

Since its humble beginnings in 1974, Van Products supplies a wide range of high quality, custom mobility products and accessories to an ever-growing customer base. From personal and commercial vehicles, to stair lifts, ramps, hand controls and other adaptive equipment, Van Products is proud to be one of North Carolina’s leading mobility experts and suppliers of mobility equipment.

Many people make the mistake of assuming that mobility products are just for the elderly. However, this is not true! There are many wonderful people who benefit from high quality mobility accessories and products. Also, in an effort to make it more convenient for our current and prospective customers, Van Products has two locations in North Carolina, located in Raleigh and Wilmington. Here, we provide wheelchair van rentals. However, we also offer statewide pick-up and delivery of mobility van vehicles equipped with ramps and lifts. We bring the convenience to you!
